Big Makeup Haul!

About a week ago I ordered some new makeup from my absolute favorite brand, Makeup Mekka, and a couple of days ago the package finally arrived! So I thought I’d share with you what I bought and write some about it as you might be interested in the products yourself.

PS: This post is basically a picture series/review, but it’s makeup, so it’s fun, right!? So here is the content of the package.


As you can see there are quite a few collections in this. Personally, when I love a product, I just have to have the entire line. And Makeup Mekka are amazing at lip products! So obviously I need to buy every new lip gloss and lipstick line they come out with. But that’s not all I bought.

So, let’s start with the basics.


Okay, so I haven’t tried the matte lip maker yet, but I am super excited about it and will post a review as soon as I have. I love matte lips, so I am really counting on this product to elevate some of my lipsticks to the next level. The future is matte guys.

As for the Incredible Impact Lash Builder, it was amazing! I honestly don’t think my lashes have ever been so long and Bambi like before! (My only note is that you should probably wait a minute before applying mascara instead of being impatient like me and ending up having to apply multiple layers to conceal the black and white swirl mascara-situation going on).

I haven’t tried the Total Lash Effect mascara yet, since I’ve been using my old trustee, 5XL. ‘Cause it’s amazing.

The soft velvet liquid lipstick collection is great because there are a lot of elements to it. Remember when you were a kid and your lip gloss was scented. With this orange chocolate scented liquid lipstick you can put some #nostalgia in your makeup bag. I did read the reviews on the site though to see what others thought, and some said that the scent was a little overpowering (but they still loved the product overall), but I personally liked it. Just a preference thing, I suppose. Furthermore the product does truly have that soft velvet feel and when you apply it, it also stings a little for a plumping effect (the nostalgia keeps coming guys). My favorite part about this lipstick though must be that each color can provide many different shades depending on the amount of layers and can therefore be used in many different settings.


Those of you who follow me on instagram know that I am 100 % in love with the Aqua Shine glosses! There are few materialistic things I love more than lip gloss and the glossier and glitterfull, the better! And this product is bringing it! And I know I should be more objective, but that’s hard when MM has literally fulfilled my lifelong dream of looking like a Bratz doll!

Some of you might remember me posting about the Hangover shade from this line a fee months back. Well, know I finally completed the collection. This liquid lipsticks are truly great. There super matte and pigmented. regrettably the lighting situation for these selfies does not do the color justice. My only note on this product would be that you have to reapply quite frequently. And as a tip I would definitely urge you to exfoliate your lips before wear.

Chokers Wish List

MOTD/New Liquid Lipstick- I`m in love

As you know, a few days back I ordered some new make-up from my beloved “makeupmekka”. I was especially excited for the liquid lipstick (or super matte lipcream as they call it). And alas I have had the chance to try it out. Here is how it looks!

PS: The lighting here is terrible, so it was really hard to get pictures without a major glare and for some reason the colors are different from my phone to the computer, so don`t hate.

The color is darker and more purple irl, but as you can see the lipstick is super matte and not to chappy at all. I for one am 100 % here for it and will probably order more variations. This one was the “Hangover” color.

New year, new hair

So for me personally, I wan’t 2017 to be about changes and personal growth. And I felt like a just needed a symbolic change for starters. And while I would say this is at all a big change, I am quite happy with it. Basically, I got my eyebrows done and dyed my hair black (it used to be brown), and I’m just so happy with it because a) I love the look and b) I just love the thought of change being possible and accesible. Obviously I am aiming a lot higher than just small stuff like this, but I do very much appreciate that fesh, clean-slate feeling!

Adult pigtails

I wish I could wear pigtails that looked so adult. Mine make me look like a five year old:

Heads up though, as with everything, pigtails work for some and not for others. Cute pigtails are great and cool and all that. But for some people in doesn`t work, some may even look to young.

Tip: Either go very low and causual with a frizzy look (if your hair is moderately long at least) or staighten your hair and go with a very high, tight look. Don`t make it too natural (I know, I sound horrible now), because that does actually make the wrong accosiations.

Three of the Day #9

As I am sitting in my mothers office completely taken over by caffeine and the excitement of only having four more days of school left before christmas break, I just really want to share that feeling with you guys! So here goes.

Advice of the day:

Watch this amazing Nat Chat that I was telling you about a few posts back. Christmas is a time were everybody should just be happy and relaxed and filled with holiday spirit and bliss. Yet, more often than not, we stress even MORE than usually. We stress about getting our christmas shopping done (I have not started yet, as usual around this time a year), about the infamous christmas cleaning, whether or not it will snow (like Natalia says in the video, don`t stress about the things you can`t control. We can not control this), what we are going to wear on christmas eve, what are kids are going to wear (do any of my readers have kids?). As the most stressed person in the world, there is no way I can tell you to stress down without being a hypocrite, so I`ll let NT do that for me. All I can say, is that this video has actually been of great help for me. And if there is hope for me, there is definitely hope for you.

Motivation of the day:

Christmas break is as I mentioned, right around the corner! That means that in a few days (are maybe even already depending on your schools or workplace system!) you will officially have permission to get up everyday at 1 pm in, lounge around in your quite checkered pyjamas and robe, and just lay on the couch for hours on end watching nostalgic christmas specials from Disney eating chocolate and marzipan. And in a few more days, you can stuff your face with the people you love AND get presents! How great is that? And even if you don`t celebrate christmas, you will most likely still have the holiday, which is great in it self! And let`s not forget that a new year is approaching. Finally we will all have (somewhat) clean slates and new possibilities waiting for us 🙂

Fashion tip of the day:

If you`re going to be wearing PJ`s for a week (many of us are, don`t be ashamed) at least wear some cute, instagram worthy PJ`s. Also, pair them with super comfertable slippers. It`s really the only outfit that can get away with it anyways. Every christmas my grandmother gets my a pair of high slippers (kind of boot-like), and they`re so comfy! Also, they have small gripper thingies in rubber on the soles so you won`t sleep because my grandmother is highly concerned with the level of clumsyness that I inhabit. Back to the point. Wear cute pyjamas. And don`t be afraid to wear some accesories with it, so your make-up and style your hair. Ao what if it seems “fake”, it looks and feels awesome! Personly, I am not the type to wear pyjamas for longer than two hours after I get up, but if I do, I really love the dolled up pyjamas look. Is that a thing? I don`t even know. Well it is now. #dolleduppjs2016
